Wirral Environmental Network welcomes any and all volunteers.

You will make a big difference to your community, meet new people, use your skills or learn new ones.

We are interested in hearing from anyone who wants to make Wirral a more environmentally friendly place, but have particular need for

People to help at events & sharing information
Garden volunteers
Furniture repairers and upcyclers
Computer and new media skills
Finance skills and those with experience of grant applications

We need you.

Whether you can help on a regular basis or a one-off. Focus on a specific project or provide general support. Young or old, experienced or looking for new skills. All are welcome. Please get in touch.

As an environmental education charity, we seek to inform, advise, and encourage people to make the changes that will lead to sustainable lifestyles.

We believe that the severe limitations of our present political system means that the changes needed to secure a sustainable future for our children are likely to come too late.

Climate change is upon us, yet politicians still cannot agree on the way forward. As a non-party political organisation, we believe we can bring about change by motivating people to take charge of their lives. Wirral Environmental Network does not seek to effect these changes via political candidates and the ballot box.

Together with Green organisations throughout the country, we believe we are a potent catalyst for change. But this change will not happen automatically. We need people from all walks of life to join us. We can all see the problems planet Earth is facing, so we shouldnt need much persuading. This is important work, and it is very rewarding.

Our newsletter, Wirral Evergreen, where our corporate members can promote their activities, is distributed throughout Wirral. In WEG you will find useful information on local and global environmental issues, a diary of events and the latest news on fundraising opportunities.
